If you’re like me, then you can’t wait to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot. This new attraction is sure to be a hit for those who love Marvel movies and roller coasters. Before you hit the queue, here are three things I wish I knew before riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
1. There are 6 different ride experiences / Guardians Of The Galaxy
The attraction will feature six songs along with Guardians of the Galaxy-themed animations. The songs are played randomly, so you have no idea what the experience will be until the ride starts. However, remember that all the songs are great and pair perfectly with the ride. Here are the six songs you can expect:
- September By Earth, Wind & Fire
- Everybody Wants To Rule The World By Tears For Fears
- Conga By Gloria Estefan
- One Way Or Another By Blondie
- I Ran (So Far Away) By A Flock Of Seagulls
- Disco Inferno By The Trammps
2. The Transitions Can Lead To Motion Sickness / Guardians of the Galaxy
As you experience all the ups and downs of the attraction, you may just feel a little bit dizzy. That’s because the transitions between scenes can cause motion sickness in some people. However, don’t let that stop you from boarding Cosmic Rewind! I found that not looking at the screens the entire time did help me from getting motion sickness! The ride is sure to provide an out-of-this-world experience that you won’t want to miss.
3. The Intensity Is In between Thunder Mountain & Rock n Rollercoaster
You will blast off into space on this coaster and fight alongside the Guardians to save the day. The coaster reaches up to 60 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest rides at Walt Disney World! After going on this ride multiple times, I would say it’s similar to Expedition Everest – especially since it goes backward! I had no idea that the ride launches backward – I wish I knew that before riding – I wasn’t ready for it! Whether you are a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy or just looking for an intense thrill, Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is sure to deliver.
