The 10 Best Restaurants to Try at Disney World

by Jennifer Berry
If you ask us, it’s hard to say what is the best part of Walt Disney World. Obviously, the atmosphere is magical, the rides are exciting and the characters brighten the day. But then there is the food. Yes, the food! Covering the four parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom), the food options are virtually endless. There are neon-colored fruit drinks, decadent desserts and all the Mickey-shaped delights your heart desires.

A vacation at Walt Disney World is made up of many things and food is one of the main obsessions that visitors can have… of course in a positive way! We will see below options for fast and cheap food, theme restaurants and even full service restaurants! There are many excellent dining options at Disney, so it is difficult to list the best 10 options. However, my family and I have some places where we like to visit more frequently.

10. Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs

This is one of my favorite and one of the cheapest places at Disney Springs. Not only does it hace good prices, but also very very good food. Everyone loves this restaurant and it also has so much variety in its menu that we always order something different. My personal favorite is the “Holiday Sandwich”. You don’t need reservations and you will eat for $ 12- $15 per person!

9. Les Chefs de France in Epcot’s France Pavilion

The French are known for their fine cuisine and Les Chefs de France will not disappoint you. One of the favorite things about this Frances restaurant is that I feel good bringing my young children. Best of all, I can go in shorts and a T-shirt, although the food and decoration are quite fancy. The dishes are prepared carefully and there are multiple tempting options on the menu, so be sure to save a space for dessert! My favorite food is called “croque monsieur.” We suggest making a reservation prior to arrival. Budget for Appetizer, Main Dish, Dessert and Drink of approximately $ 60 per person!

8. Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

My family loves the “barbecue” at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom because it’s a better alternative than the typical theme park food. I can assure you that the delicious aroma will take you to that succulent food establishment. We also like to eat outdoors since it is quieter. I recommend you choose a spot with a clear view of Expedition Everest far away.

7. Sunshine Seasons at the Land Pavilion in EPCOT

When we visit the World Showcase at EPCOT we have to eat at Sunshine Seasons. With the multiple counters, there are food options for all tastes. And similar to the Flame Tree, the options are even more unique than the typical fast food. What I like most is that you don’t have to make reservations… you just arrive and eat!

6. “Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This restaurant has one of the most unique themes found in Disney World. Following the Drive-In Theater model, you sit “under the stars” in the cars of the 50’s era and watch old clips of science fiction movies while dining. Movie clips are involuntarily fun and include “Plan 9 From Outer Space”, “Amazing Colossal Man” and other B Movie classics.

Most cars can accommodate 6 people sitting in three rows of two seats. There are also a few tables at the back of the restaurant.

One of the items for which Sci-Fi is best known is the milkshake. The rest of the menu ranges from hamburgers to kinds of pasta, sandwiches, ribs, and salads. This restaurant requires reservations in advance and the budget per person is between $35 and $55!

5. Crystal Palace at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

This is my favorite place to see all my friends from100 Acre Woods: Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger! The Crystal Palace is a buffet restaurant in an impressive location: a building in the middle of the Magic Kingdom that resembles the Crystal Palace of England, which was erected in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851.

The Crystal Palace offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers some of the hotel’s best buffet dishes. It is a great place to start the day in Magic Kingdom or close a wonderful day of walks and fun.

The variety of food is amazing, but what I liked the most was the French Toast. My daughter loved Mickey’s waffles … who doesn’t?! Starting the day with a breakfast buffet like this is great since you can see Cinderella Castle and get to know Pooh and his friends up close!!

4. Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is a very fun dinner show for the whole family located at Fort Wilderness Resort. What stopped at the beginning was the price (it costs more than $ 60 per person), but now I think it was worth the investment. (especially for Level 1 seats). My son chose this for his birthday this summer. Not only do you get an entertaining show, but also a delicious “all you can eat” dinner!

Fried chicken, ribs, salads, corn, mashed potatoes, beans, and bread are served family-style – the food feels fresh and you are very satisfied. Just leave room for the dessert of “strawberry shortcake.”

3. Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie at the France Pavilion in EPCOT

I consider this the counter service alternative to Les Chefs. But what I like best is the value I get for my money! My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant, accompanied by a sweet dessert. Desserts are exquisite and it’s difficult to decide which one to eat. Look for this fabulous pastry in the French Pavilion in Epcot!

2. 50’s Prime Time Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

My family and I are fascinated by 50’s Prime Time for food, atmosphere, and service — everything is combined in this fun restaurant. Here you go back in time to the ’50s to a replica of your mom’s full kitchen with black and white TV, antique decorations and a full menu of home-cooked meals. I’ve always loved the quality of the food here and the entertaining service at the table is fabulous. This is a MUST restaurant to visit.

1. Via Napoli in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion

This is my family’s favorite restaurant in EPCOT. We have eaten there multiple times on the same trip to Epcot. It has many things that make it one of the best restaurants around: delicious food, courteous and fast service, great value or money and the atmosphere is simply excellent.
