Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays is a favorite time of year for many people. However, it can be tough to know where to start. The best way to get started is by reading this blog post! I’ll tell you all about the event and how to make your experience as magical as possible – as well as top places you should go to really take in the Holiday spirit 💁♀️
Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays runs from November 26 to December 30, 2021. No passport is needed to explore all the different countries in the World Showcase! There are 11 countries that you can meander around and explore how each culture celebrates the Holiday season! The best part about the festival (in my opinion) is all the fantastic Christmas treats! In addition, all the beautiful decorations that tie the Holidays in really gets you in the Holiday cheer!
After touring around Epcot’s World Showcase several times throughout my visit to the festival, I’m going to pass my experiences to you – so you can make festive Holiday memories! I ranked these countries from the very best (5 stars) to not as “festive” (less than 5 stars).
Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays in Germany is EVERYTHING you want in a holiday destination. Germany was my favorite country to visit because it was so well decorated, from the exterior of the buildings to the cute interior of the Christmas stores. You have to check out Stein Haus (Stone House), where this photo was taken. You can spend a reasonable amount of time wandering through Germany because it is so intricate with Christmas fun.
I give The American Adventure Pavilion 5 stars because it has multiple gleaming Christmas trees, America Gardens Theatre Christmas performances, and SANTA! Poinsettias are everywhere with the dazzling Holiday lights – one can only be in the magic of Christmas at this pavilion!
France is beautiful in the Epcot World Showcase for the Festival of the Holidays! The windows of the storefronts have gold and white Christmas lights. France has champagne bottles in the windows, fancy Christmas “Dior” themed windows, and overall you feel like it’s Christmas Eve night in the streets of the France Pavilion.
Not every culture in the World celebrates Christmas or the traditional Holiday season. Out of the 11 countries in the World Showcase, only a handful have lights and decor that is deemed festive. Each country is different, and Epcot does a great job of distinction from one to the other! Epcot truthfully represents each country and what you would expect if you went to the country for December.
During my visit to Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays, I went around the park and asked random Cast Members what their tips and recommendations were for guests attending the festival – these were their answers…
