7 New Disney Movies Coming Out in 2020

It’s going to be a busy year for Disney fans! Get your wallets ready and start planning a visit to your nearest cinema, because here are our most exciting picks for the best Disney movies that will be released next year!

1. The Call of the Wild (February 21)

Starring Harrison Ford, this live-action film is based on Jack London’s 1903 novel, The Call of the Wild. This film is perfect for animal and nature lovers. There’s also bound to be plenty of adventure and emotion, so be prepared!

2. Onward (March 6)

If you believe in magic, this is the film for you! Onward follows the story of Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt), two elf brothers who embark on a journey to find out if there’s still magic left in the world. The reason? They want to spend one last day with their father who passed away when they were too young to remember him. You bring the tissues, we’ll bring the popcorn. 

3. Mulan (March 27)

Everyone’s favorite warrior is back! This time, in live-action format! The Disney classic is coming back to the big screen to wow new generations and bring back memories for the older ones. Starring Liu Yifei, the film tells the story of Mulan, a woman who disguises herself as a man in order to save her father from serving in the army. With classic and new songs, this is bound to be a great watch for everyone!

4. Black Widow (May 1)

Natasha Romanoff is back and ready for a fight. Starring Scarlett Johansson, this film will bring light to the Avengers’ backstory and tell us a few things we never knew about the character. Another blockbuster from Marvel!

5. Artemis Fowl (May 29)

You’ve probably read the novel, now it’s time to watch the characters come to life! The story follows the life of Artemis Fowl, a 12-year old mastermind who discovers a dangerous underground world inhabited by armed fairies. In an effort to save his family’s fortune, the boy decides to kidnap one of them…and that’s where the troubles begin. 

6. Soul (June 19)

Pack some tissues, you’re in for an emotional journey. The Disney Pixar film follows a middle-school music teacher who dreams of playing at the legendary jazz club, The Blue Note. Starring Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey, the film focuses on the importance of dreams and chasing after them. We’re already crying. 

7. Jungle Cruise (July 24)

Based on the classic Disney attraction, this film stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Jesse Plemons. Jump on board and get ready for an epic adventure this summer!

BONUS: The One and Only Ivan (August 14)

Based on the real-life story of a silverback gorilla who was forced to live in a small cage at a shopping mall, this animated film is sure to tug at your heartstrings.
