5. The Santa Clause

Let’s face it: it wouldn’t be Christmas if Tim Allen didn’t wear his Santa suit! Originally released in 1994, the film is a fun family comedy that follows Scott Calvin (Allen) as he accidentally finds himself becoming Sant Claus after causing the “real” Santa to fall off his roof! What comes next is a hilarious and heartwarming journey. It’s the perfect film for a snow day or a cold night in!

4. Disney’s A Christmas Carol

We’ve heard the story before: old Ebenezer Scrooge (played by Jim Carrey) hates everything about Christmas. He’s greedy, selfish and doesn’t share the joy of everyone around him. On Christmas Eve, he’s visited by the ghost of his former business partner, who warns him about what’s waiting in the afterlife if he continues to be this selfish. What comes next is a long journey between past, present, and future – accompanied by a set of ghosts – that helps Scrooge see the error in his way. This Charles Dickens’ classic is absolutely incredible!

3. The Muppet Christmas Carol

Everyone’s favorite group of muppets is back with some epic holiday cheer! Once again, this Dickens classic has made its way to the big screen to share the joy of Christmas in the very best way. This fantasy musical follows the gang as they try to change Scrooge just in time to realize the true magic of Christmas. This one is perfect for the little ones if you feel like Carrey’s version might be a bit too much to handle.

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Skeletons and Christmas? Yes, please! Jack Skellington, who hails from Halloween Town, discovers the magical Christmas Town one evening and becomes absolutely obsessed with it and its people. However, things take a turn for the exciting when he decides to kidnap Santa Claus for himself.  If you love Halloween and Christmas, this is the film for you!
