DisneyFanatic.com shares the secret of delectable quick bites at Epcot.
When thinking of places to eat in Epcot, most people will think about the variety of cuisine that is available in World Showcase. However, there may be times when you are focusing your attention on Future World because you only have a half day to spend in Epcot or are running between FastPasses. It is easy to overlook some of these places, but they all offer great snacks or meals on the go when you’re in Future World!
8 – Popcorn Cart Outside of Imagination Pavilion – as you come out of the Imagination Pavilion from riding Figment or seeing Captain EO (which is coming back this summer!), there is a small popcorn cart at the base of the hill coming out from the pavilion. The popcorn cart does not serve the traditional popcorn however. This cart serves flavored popcorn that is a welcome change to the regular popcorn. On a recent trip, I was able to sample some buffalo-flavored popcorn. They have three different flavors of popcorn – be sure to get some on your next trip!
7 – Taste Track – this is a new offering at Epcot, located right outside of Test Track. This kiosk offers a variety of upscale grilled cheese sandwiches. I have not had the chance to sample one of the sandwiches, but the added food spot in Future World is welcome, especially on that side of Future World. And because Disney knows how to serve up grilled cheese, each sandwich comes with a small bowl of tomato bisque soup!
6 – Mouse Gear – wait, what?!? Mouse Gear as a place to grab food? Yes, especially depending on what you want. Mouse Gear has a lot of the classic Disney snacks for sale. These snacks are great to grab if you are standing in line at Test Track or Soarin’ or just walking around the park – they offer Chip and Dale pretzels, Goofy’s Taffy, chocolate, marshmallow rice treats, and lots of other sugary treats!
5 – Electric Umbrella – one of two counter service restaurants in Future World, the Electric Umbrella offers your standard theme park fare – hamburgers, chicken, and salads. The food is adequate and there is plenty of seating and it is one of the few places in Disney where guests can get free refills on their sodas!
4 – Joffrey’s Located Right Outside the Main Gate – one your way in the park, there is a Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea location – this location is great to grab a coffee if you are trying to make rope drop and it is my favorite place to grab a “big as your face” donut at anytime of the day or night. They also offer delicious cinnamon rolls too!
3 – Fountain View Café – this is the Starbucks location in Epcot. In addition to the Starbucks coffee, they also offer a variety of small sandwiches and delicious Disney-themed treats for you to enjoy with your drink. You can also enjoy a wonderful view of the Fountain of Nations and the choreographed water fountain show!
2 – Pretzel and Beer Cart Outside of the Land – the description gives away most of what you can grab in a pinch at this cart. I love Mickey pretzels and am always aware on where the closest kiosk is. This is a great place to stop either before or after visiting the Land Pavilion. The line is never long and there are plenty of places to sit alongside planters in the area.
1 – Sunshine Seasons – the best quick eats place in Future World is located in the Land Pavilion. Sunshine Seasons offers food for every meal of the day. The menu is truly varied and has something for everyone in your party to enjoy! The portion sizes are great and similar to the Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons offers free refills on soft drinks. It is easy to miss Sunshine Seasons, especially if you are only in the Land Pavilion for Soarin’. My favorite meal to enjoy here on the go is breakfast – try it out the next time you’re there!
Future World does have options for diners on the go. Don’t dismiss it and head immediately for World Showcase, try one of these options the next time you’re in Epcot!
