Orlando International Airport to shut down commercial operations Thursday night

The Orlando International Airport will shut down commercial operations at 8 p.m. Thursday ahead of Hurricane Matthew, officials said.

Many international flights have already been canceled.

Some travelers flew in earlier to beat the delays and cancellations.

“We had travel plans for tomorrow, and then we changed them to today so we can get in town to be here for our vacation before the storm hits,” said tourist Angela Lawrence.

Airport officials recommend callig the airline for updates on flights.
